Welcome to the Kings for the Kids website.
Kings for the Kids is an non-profit organization dedicated to helping abused and neglected kids in the Portland Metropolitan area.
Our primary focus in past years, has been in helping sponsor kids at local Royal Family Kids Camps.
This year we will be expanding to other areas where we can help kids
Each year, we host a Spring Chinook fishing tournament as one of our primary ways of raising money. We are pleased to announce that the 9th Annual Kings for the Kids fishing tournament
will take place April 16th. Please select the Upcoming Events button to register for the tournament.
Once again Fins, Feathers and Furs has donated a 6 day guided fishing trip on the
Nushigak River in Alaska to be raffled off at the tournament. Tickets are available here on the website, when you register for the tournament. Price is $5 per ticket, or 5 tickets for $20.
Travis Moncrief has donated this trip for the last 6 years and this is a pivotal part of our fundraiser for the kids. Thank you Travis!
Our Big Fish prize this year is a 3 day guided fishing trip at the Togiak River Lodge in Alaska.

This year there is a new 100-mile radius rule from the Portland area (not including the ocean).
This new rule opens up a lot of Washington tributary rivers and streams for fishing which have been previously closed for the Kings for the Kids
tournament. We believe that opening up new water(s) for fishing will increase the opportunities for angles to participate in the tournament.
Also new for this year, is the Unguided option where 3 individuals get together to form a team providing their own boat, and fishing gear, without a professional guide.
After a hard day fishing the tournament, there will be a catered dinner waiting for you,
raffle, silent auction and lots of opportunities to catch up with old friends and make new ones.
If fishing isn't addictive enough, when you add in fishing for such a great cause you will leave the tournament feeling elated and will be back year after year.
Our mission is to create positive memories for abused and neglected children. By teaming up with the Royal Family Kids and other camps, we have made a positive difference in many local children for the last 7 years. Please join us in helping to make the difference.
